Supporting Your Child’s Learning

How to support your child’s learning at home

Research shows that supporting your child with their learning at home has a positive impact on their achievement at school.  Your child will have a Home-School Communication book for you to record the books they read and the books you share with them. In Year 1 and Year 2 the children also have weekly spellings and number facts to learn.

There are a number of ways that parents and carers can support their children’s learning at home.  Please click on the following links for further details:

Your child’s teacher will also keep you informed of specific things that might need practicing and reinforcing at home.
