Preparation for Severe Weather (updated 12th Jan)

During the winter season, you may wonder how we prepare for a School Closure.

Before making a decision to close the school, the Leadership Team  and Governors will consult with the Emergency Services, West Sussex County Council and other Health & Safety Agencies.

When we decide to close our school, we will:

  • Send a text message to all Parents and Carers – we will aim to do this by 7.00am in the morning
  • Update the school website
  • Inform local radio stations
  • Inform West Sussex County Council

If we decide to close our school during the day, we will:

  • Send a text message to all Parents and Carers
  • Update the school website

We would request that you do not call the school to ask  about closure, so that we keep our telephone lines free for other safeguarding priorities
