Ways you can support child’s learning at home:
Homework books will be sent home on Mondays and should be returned to school on a Friday.

Reading

The expectation is that your child reads regularly at home (4-7 times a week) which should be recorded in their Home School Communication Book. Please use the weekly stickers to guide your parent comments.

Reading for pleasure has a massive impact on how well your child does at school so don’t forget to read to them as well as reading at home.

For More information on reading for pleasure visit…http://www.lovemybooks.co.uk/

Maths

We offer a Maths pre-teach activity to prepare for the next week’s maths vocabulary and activities.  Research suggest that these can be a valuable intervention to support your child’s attainment.  Please let us know if you would like your child to bring one of these activities home on a Friday

Class Notices:

  • Please remember to say good bye to your children in the playground as we are preparing for moving into Year 3 and being more independent!
  • PE kits should be in school every day.
  • Ms New is currently our student teacher. She is in her 3rd year at Chichester University.
