What is the Pupil Premium Grant?


Did you know…. that if you qualify as a low income family you can register for the Pupil Premium Grant?

This means that Springfield Infant School will get extra money to support your child!  For every child registered for Pupil Premium, Springfield Infant School gets £1,320 a year.   With this money we could improve maths, reading and writing, promote positive attitudes towards learning and provide quality of opportunity and equal access to school activities.

So far this year, we have helped Pupil Premium children with:

A free place at one After School Club
Free Breakfast Club
Funding for trips
Music lessons
One-to-one learning support
One-to-one reading
Book Buddies
School Uniform voucher
Enrichment courses
Small group work
Challenge and extension groups for the more able child
Read 2 Dogs
Parent workshops
Small group physical workshops
Access to external agencies such as speech therapy or play therapy


How can you apply for the Pupil Premium Grant?
Just download the Pupil Premium Grant information and application form 2016-2017 and when you have completed it, return to the School Office or West Sussex County Council.
