Springfield Nursery “Space to grow and wings to fly”

Springfield nursery is part of Springfield Infant School. It is a happy and caring environment that offers young children varied and exciting learning experiences. We believe that young children learn from a stable and inclusive environment, where we can foster a desire for knowledge and a continuing interest in life-long learning.

All our children are valued individuals who are encouraged to be independent, develop self-esteem and self –respect and are inspired and motivated to do their very best. The highly qualified Early Years staff are passionate about providing all the children here with an excellent start in their school life. The Nursery and Reception teachers work together as a team to ensure there is a quality approach to early learning and care.

The environment consists of bright and colourful rooms and a large outdoor area that is both stimulating and exciting.  The displays are rich and vibrant and there is an abundance of quality resources. A wide range of activities are planned every day and we aim to provide the highest quality early learning in order to allow all children to make the best progress and develop their abilities and talents as they continue to grow.

Springfield is a fully inclusive school and nursery. The monitoring of provision and the progress of each child and groups of children is undertaken and support Is put in place should it be required.

The nursery is for all children aged from three years old and is open during school term times, 9.00am – 3.00pm but with additional breakfast sessions at the beginning of the day 8am – 9am.   Sessions run from 9 – 12 and 12 – 3pm , parents must book a minimum of three sessions. However we do offer the 15 and 30 hour government funded nursery provision and this can be sorted out by our staff for your convenience.  We are also able to offer a hot meal at lunchtime for those children that are in during that session.

All of the children in the nursery will be entitled to free cool milk and fresh fruit. Water is freely available at all times.

If you are interested please call into or phone the school office for more information.
